When you use a company car, the steps and documents needed for registering are different from those needed when you want to register your private one. How to Register Private Vehicles for Abu Dhabi Toll Gate System

Once you prepare your Emirates ID, phone number, active email ID, car number plate, and a credit card or debit card, you are all set to register. All you need to do is follow these steps.

First, you must visit the Darb toll website or download the app then you need to choose ‘Individual’ to create an account. Enter your email address. Once you enter it, an OTP will be emailed to you. You need to enter it. Now, you can select the emirate where your vehicle is registered and enter the traffic code number and registered mobile phone number. You will have an OTP sent to that number you entered. Enter the OTP sent to your number and then enter a password to complete the registration. Once you enter your password, your registration is complete. The next step is to click on ‘register’ on the dashboard and register your vehicle. Now, all you need to do is choose the payment method and click ‘Pay’. The initial vehicle registration fee is AED 100 per vehicle, of which AED 50 is credited to the registered account as a starting balance for your Darb toll gate account.

One final note that you Owners of vehicles registered outside of Abu Dhabi in any other Emirate must create an account 10 days prior to crossing the Abu Dhabi Toll Gate.

How To Register Company-Owned Vehicles With Abu Dhabi Tollgate

If your car is company-owned, the process for registering your car is different. To show how different, we introduce to you the steps that you need to follow:

Visit the Darb website or download the Darb app, then choose “Establishment” from the service type to create an account. The first step to creating an account is to enter your valid email address. After that, a one-time pin will be sent to that email. You must enter the OTP. If you entered it correctly, you will now need to select the emirate where your vehicle is registered and enter the establishment traffic code number. Once done, enter your registered mobile phone number, and an OTP will be sent to that number, which you should need to enter. Now, enter a password to complete the registration and all the necessary information about the establishment, and then click on “Register”.

You are required to provide some information that includes:

  1. A copy of the company’s trade licence.
  2. A signed official letter with these details
    • Company’s stamp
    • Company’s details or details of the corporate officer
    • The company’s email address
    • Company’s cell phone number
    • TCN (traffic code number)
  3. A list of vehicles you wish to activate on the system with these details:
    • The licence of the car number plate
    • Plate code or colour.
    • Plate Source (DXB for Dubai, SHJ for Sharjah, AUH for Abu Dhabi, AJM for Ajman, UAQ for Umm Al Quwain, RAK for Ras Al Khaimah, FUJ for Fujairah)
    • Plate category
