Over the years, adventure sports in Dubai and XDubai have almost become synonymous. A visit to XDubai is a must if you enjoy high-octane adventures. It provides various experiences to test your limits and provide you with a fun-filled adventure in Dubai. What Are The Activities At XDubai?
There are plenty of XDubai activities for every type of adventurous soul, from seriously thrilling activities like slingshots and zip lines to more mellow family-friendly experiences like skating.
XDubai Slingshot
How would it feel to be propelled 120 metres at a speed of 100 kilometres per hour? The XDubai Slingshot is a great place to find out! Human slingshots may sound sinister, but visiting XDubai is an incredible experience with all the necessary safety precautions in place. Prepare to scream as you are yanked back and propelled into the air! Of course, there are certain conditions that you need to meet to be able to try this adventure. You should be between 45 and 90 kg, and 140 to 200 cm in height. You should not have any medical conditions, and you should wear flat, closed-toed shoes. Pregnant women are not allowed to try this one.
Tickets there cost you 280 AED, and it is available at these times:
- Thursday to Saturday
- Session 1 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Session 2 from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm
The Human Slingshot of XDubai can be found at Kite Beach in Umm Suqeim.
Dubai XLine
XLine Dubai is the world’s longest urban zipline, located in the heart of Dubai Marina. It is 1 km long and has a 16-degree incline. Hold on tight as you travel at 80 km/h on this thrilling ride. Dubai is a city with incredible architecture and design. You have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to view the breathtaking sights from above while suspended high in the air. Fly past the Princess Tower and Cayan Tower to get a bird’s-eye view of Dubai Marina. Take the quick safety briefing and enjoy the ride alone for 650 AED or with a friend for 1200 AED. In order to be able to do so, you need to be between 12 and 65 years of age, no less than 130 cm in height, and weigh between 50 and 100 kg.
Skatepark XDubai
A 3,100-square-meter skatepark is ideal for skaters. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced skater, you will have a great time at XDubai skatepark. This recreational venue, located on the Kite Beach beachfront, offers a low-intensity option for beginners and a more intensive option for experienced skaters. The day pass is 45 AED, while the yearly membership amounts to 1000 AED, and you can try it at these times:
- Friday – Saturday: 08:00 am to 11:00 pm
- Sunday – Thursday: 03:00 pm to 11:00 pm
You should wear protective gear at all times—including a helmet—and avoid snaking. Moreover, one of the important things to keep in mind is that kids under 4 are not allowed. The same applies to three-wheeled and folding scooters. As for kids under 10, they are not permitted from 12:00 pm until the end of the day on Fridays and Saturdays.
Both novices and experienced skaters can improve their skills with one-on-one skating lessons that last 60 minutes.
- For members, the fee is AED 150, while non-members will have to pay AED 175.
- Moreover, you can get extended coaching to 5 sessions or 10 sessions. The fee for availing of five coaching sessions is AED 650 for members, and for non-members, it’s AED 750.
- For 10 sessions, the fee for members is AED 1,200; for non-members, it’s AED 1,300.
You can take these sessions with your friend as well and get a discount.
- One group lesson (with 2 people) for members costs AED 270 and for non-members, it’s AED 315.
- Members must pay AED 1,170 for 5 sessions or AED 2,160 for 10 sessions.
- Non-members will have to pay AED 1,350 for 5 sessions or AED 2,340 for 10 sessions
Jr. XPark
This is a natural playscape for children along Kite Beach. A trip to XPark Jr will introduce your child to nature. Because we spend so much of our time indoors, it is critical for young children to spend time outside. With swings, climbing nets, slides, a mud play area, and a petting zoo, your child will have a great time creating adventures here.
XPark Jr. also provides an Urban Forest School Programme to help children connect with nature. A birthday party for your child can also be arranged at XPark Jr. for AED 95 per child. A visit to this place costs 45 AED for a child with one adult, but you have to pay 25 if a second adult is going there. As for the times to visit:
- Monday to Wednesday: 08:00 am to 06:00 pm
- Thursday to Friday: 08:00 am to 08:00 pm
- Saturday to Sunday: 08:00 am to 06:00 pm
XDubai Events
Aside from these regular activities, XDubai also hosts a few events. XDubai Skating Competition, XDubai Yoga, XDubai Triathlon, XDubai Spartan Races, XDubai Skydive, XDubai Summer Camps, XDubai Deep Dive Dubai and other activities are included.
XDubai is also involved in other adventure activities that are happening in the emirate of Dubai and they also motivate people with the “X” skills on their social media.
